He is the only way.
And He offers salvation freely to all!

Open the lesson with a song and a prayer.
🎶 O P E N I N G S O N G : "Come Follow Me"
➤ I N T R O D U C T I O N
Invite children to stand on one side of the room and tell them that they will be walking to the other side of the room five different times. Tell them that each time they will be asked to walk in a different way, and to see if they can do it!
1) Pretend the ground is really sticky and every time you take a step, your foot gets stuck again!
2) Pretend there is a big earthquake and the ground is shaking!
3) Pretend the ground is super hot and if you leave your feet on the ground too long they will melt!
4) Pretend your feet are super bouncy and every time they touch the ground they bounce way up
high!
5) Pretend you are balancing on a balance beam way up in the air and you have to be super careful
not to fall!
Invite children to sit down again and then discussion the following questions:
1) Are there different ways to get to the store? (Discuss.)
2) Are there different ways to build a house? (Discuss.)
3) What else can you think of that we can do lots of different ways? (Discuss.)

Say: “We are going to watch a video about different ways to do some other things. But there is one thing in the video that can’t be done in different ways. There is only one way for this thing. Watch and see if you can find out what it is!”
Discuss the following questions after watching the video:
1) Did you find out which thing can only be done one way? What is it? (Gain eternal life, live with Heavenly Father again.)
2) What is the only way to gain eternal life? (Follow Jesus Christ.)
3) What is the only way to be resurrected? (Follow Jesus Christ.)
3) Is there any other way? (No, only through Jesus Christ!)

Read the following scripture together and discuss the questions that follow.
1) Who invited us to follow Him? (Jesus Christ.)
2) To follow Jesus Christ, what do we need to be willing to do? (Keep the commandments of the
Father.)
1) What did God the Father say? (Repent and be baptized.)
2) To follow Jesus Christ, what do we need to be willing to do? (Keep the commandments of the
Father.)
1) Who said “follow me and do the things which you have seen me do?” (Jesus Christ.)
2) What did Jesus Christ do? (Kept His Father’s commandments, was baptized, received the Holy
Ghost.)
1) How many ways are there to be saved in the Kingdom of God? (Only one.)
2) What is the only way? (Only through Jesus Christ.)

Invite children to color characters on the pages and to trace the paths to see where each one leads. Remind children that there is only one way to eternal life - through Jesus Christ!
