The Israelites are in bondage, and Moses has been sent to negotiate the freedom of his people. Pharaoh is refusing to free the Israelites. So, God exercises his power through Moses and sends forth plagues upon the Egyptians to soften their hearts. Eventually, the Israelites are set free.
As kids learn about the plagues, they will find how to relate this story to their lives. They, too, can learn how God has the power to cleanse us and deliver us.
