Moses had an important mission to fulfill. He would eventually be called to exercise the Lord’s power in bringing his people out of captivity. But early in his life, there were some other important people who protected, guided, and preserved Moses so that he could live to fulfill that mission.

This week's lesson teaches children how God protects us, even in hard times!

Invite the children to use a small portion of the napkin to wrap up the lego person like a baby in a swaddling blanket. Next, invite each child to make an aluminum foil “basket” for the baby. When they are finished with this, invite all of the children to place their baby Moses baskets into the water and watch them float!

Discuss the following questions:

1. Who does this activity remind you of? (Baby Moses!)

2. Who is Moses? What did he do? (He delivered the Israelites from the Egyptians.)

Explain: When Moses was grown, he was called by God to protect the Israelites from Pharaoh. But before that, God sent some other people to protect Moses! Today we are going to learn about some of the people that protected Moses!
