Elijah the prophet’s life is in danger. He travels to Mt. Sinai and seeks refuge in a cave. While he is there, the Lord wants to talk with him. There is an earthquake, a windstorm, and a great fire. But the Lord is not in any of those things, and Elijah remains in the cave. Elijah eventually recognizes the presence of the Lord when he hears the still small voice, and he goes out to the mountain to meet with the Lord.
