Pass out the GOLDFISH ACTIVITY PAGE, one per child.

1) Color the fish with the tabs (don’t color the one without tabs).

2) Cut out both fish on the lines.

3) Glue or tape a popsicle stick to the uncolored fish.

Explain that the colored fish represents a body.

The uncolored fish represents a spirit.

When we are born, we receive a body. (Use the tabs to attach the colored fish over the top of the uncolored fish.)

When we die, our spirit lives on, but our body dies. (Detach the colored fish, and lay it down on the table or the floor.)

Display the picture of Jesus Christ.

Explain that all of us will be resurrected because of Jesus Christ. (Use tabs to attach the colored fish over the top of the uncolored fish again. You may wish to tape it in place this time and explain that when we are resurrected, we will never die again.)
